This leads to infection, inflammation and pain which reduces considerable the patient’s quality of life and increase the cost of health care systems, as usually a second surgery is required. miMED has developed an innovative medical solution that prevents the risk of infection after surgery based on adhesive micromedicines that are implanted during the surgery and can be customized taking into account patient’s needs.
